Progress at White Sands Hotel & Spa
White Sands Hotel & Spa in Boa Vista is a major development for The Resort Group PLC. Construction is coming along on schedule and properties are already being sold off-plan as work continues on site.
Some properties are expected to be completed by the end of 2016 and there are up to 150 people working to make this happen with six cranes, three telehandlers, one excavator and four trucks available to help them.
As it was on Sal when The Resort Group PLC arrived to build the first development, MELIÃ Tortuga Beach Resort, assets can be hard to come by. Resourceful as ever, the construction team has meticulously planned it so staff and imports are available and contractors have been purchased accordingly, minimising any problems on site. There are also plans to relocate resources from Sal Island once the construction projects there have been completed.

White Sands Hotel & Spa is one of six developments that will eventually be built on Boa Vista, seeking to replicate the success of the Resorts on Sal Island.
