The Resort Group PLC has five completed projects in Cape Verde situated on prime beachfront land on the Island of Sal.
MELIÃ Tortuga Beach Resort opened in May 2011 as The Resort Group’s first project in Cape Verde. Since launching, it has enjoyed remarkable success, picking up industry awards year after year. It continues to deliver consistently high occupancy levels, cementing its reputation as one of the destination’s standout resorts.
MELIÃ Dunas Beach Resort & Spa opened in November 2014 as TRG’s second project in Cape Verde. A significantly larger resort with over 1,200 rooms, it has become a tourist destination in its own right. Well established in the market, it attracts strong occupancy levels, particularly within the all-inclusive family holiday sector.
MELIÃ Llana Beach Resort & Spa opened in December 2016 as Sal’s first adults-only hotels. Together they offer a stunning range of suites, tropical pools and rejuvenating spa facilities across more than 600 rooms. The two hotels welcome up to 43,873 tourists a year, supporting approximately 500 local jobs.
MELIÃ Laguna Beach Resort & Spa opened in 2025 as Meliá’s second adults-only (16+) resort on Sal. Exclusively for couples and friends, it offers elegant accommodation, fine dining, tropical pools and a luxurious wellness spa, all delivered with outstanding service, marking the next step in TRG’s adults-only offering in Cape Verde.
Sol Dunas – Family Fun Resort also opened in 2025, bringing a budget-friendly, all-inclusive family holiday experience to Cape Verde. It offers fun, relaxation and entertainment for guests of all ages, rounding out TRG’s growing portfolio on Sal.
