Britain’s Next Top Model and The Resort Group PLC
It may not have been the best kept secret but last night revealed the exotic destination to which the finalists of Britain’s Next Top Model would be flying for the last three episodes. With its stunning sandy beaches, reliably sun-soaked backdrop and undiscovered feel, Cape Verde is the perfect place for a fun-packed few weeks of fashion shoots.
It all came about due to the collaboration between the Group and Britain’s Next Top Model’s production company, Thumbs Up. This partnership was a natural one, with The Resort Group PLC dedicated to promoting the touristic value of the archipelago and the renowned fashion show keen to jet their finalists off to a glamorous hotspot. While on Island, the team went the extra mile to ensure every possible location was accessible for filming, all while housing the 35-strong production crew on the MELIÃ Dunas Beach Resort & Spa.
Back to last night’s programme, the reveal itself was as highly anticipated as it is every season, with the girls working especially hard to create a stunning and ethereal look in their challenging underwater shoot. With the unfortunate elimination out of the way, the final models were over the moon to hear they would be travelling to the West African Islands for the rest of the competition.

Tune in next week to see the girls master the art of the traditional Cape Verde dance, Kizomba, take part in the weekly catwalk with the staff from the on-Resort store, Analita Boutique, and head out to the beauty of the local botanical gardens for a shoot with skincare brand, Simple. If you’re a frequent visitor to Sal Island, you’re sure to recognise many of the locations.
Britain’s Next Top Model airs on Lifetime TV at 9pm every Thursday. The remaining models will battle it out on the beaches of Cape Verde, while they and the judges stay at the MELIÃ Dunas Beach Resort & Spa.
