Founder and sole shareholder of The Resort Group PLC, Rob is an entrepreneur who established the Group in 2007 following successful development projects in Spain and Canada. Rob has a Financial Services background in Banking and the Prudential Corporation, and his areas of expertise include corporate strategy, sales and distribution, real estate development and corporate relations.

Charlie King joined The Resort Group PLC in 2009 from his role as Head of UK Operations for Middle Eastern Developer, Damac. He has over 30 years’ experience in manufacturing, financial services and real estate sales. Formerly a Managing Director of a division of Friends Provident Estate Agents and subsequently Countrywide Group, Charlie has a wealth of experience in real estate sales, marketing, and operations.

The Resort Group PLC appointed Ross Robertson as Chief Executive Officer during 2023 and already Ross has had a huge impact on the resort operations on Sal. Scottish born Ross is based permanently in Cape Verde to focus on the maximising performance of the resort hotels not least in delivering excellence in guest experience

With over twenty-five years’ experience working with and alongside some of the world’s best known brands such as Marriott, Starwood, Carlton House, Deutsche Bank, Maritz Travel, Ritz Carlton and Mandarin Oriental, Ross brings to the Resort Group PLC a successful track record of leadership in resort and hospitality development, strategic brand management, change management, stakeholder management and delivering to market best-in-class resort operations in line with strategic, financial and brand objectives.
