Cape Verde in the Press
We recently commissioned research that found that 50 percent of UK holidaymakers don’t know where Cape Verde is. One of the best kept secrets of the travel industry, Cape Verde has so much to offer holidaymakers with its year round sunshine, unspoilt beaches and activities from whale watching through to kite surfing – it really does have something for everyone.
It’s been a busy few months… last December we invited a number of UK journalists to the launch of the MELIÃ Llana Beach Resort & Spa, including The Sun, The Daily Star, OK Magazine and Yahoo. This, along with the video we produced of the opening weekend, resulted in 31 pieces of coverage, including four national pieces (two articles on the Mail Online, one in The Daily Star and one in The Sun) and 16 articles across the regional press.

In February, we invited media to come and experience everything that Cape Verde has to offer. They had a go at kite surfing, swimming with sharks, a tour of the famous salt mines as well as visiting a local school funded by The Cape Verde Foundation.
