MELIÃ Tortuga Beach Resort wins World Travel Award
MELIÃ Tortuga Beach Resort has received the World Travel Award for Cape Verde’s Leading Hotel for another year. Our original Sal Island Resort has won the award on no less than four previous occasions, in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, as well as a nomination in the category last year. It is an award that symbolises our distinction as a luxury 5-star destination.
Our win was announced at a glittering gala event, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda. The ceremony and the awards themselves serve “to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.” Now in its 24th year, the World Travel Awards are recognised as the ultimate accolade in travel and tourism across the globe. They specifically concentrate their praise on travel and leisure organisations that are known to push the boundaries of industry excellence and we are proud to be amongst those who are considered to do so.
