Progress from Bikini Beach Club

Bikini Beach and the Blue Lagoon – one of our most exciting projects, bringing Cape Verde’s first premium beach club to life on the cool crystal waters of Algodoeira Beach.

2015

Construction has come a long way since we laid the first stones of the arms that will protect a swimming-friendly area surrounding the beach club. By August 2015, the manmade lagoon was starting to take shape, with surf-breaking rocks providing the base of the structure. With a secure area in place, the next step was to select natural rocks, chosen from the beach to complete the arms’ composition and allow easier access for swimmers. This gave the arms a finished look in October and focus quickly moved to the centre of the Lagoon.

2016

As construction carried on into the New Year, things developed quickly and with the arms carefully in place, the rocks began to appear in the centre of the Lagoon – preparing for the main event of the Island that will stand as the base for Bikini Beach itself. The walkway came to life in the months that followed, and it wasn’t long before a recognisable Island appeared.

The walkway completed, April and May saw construction come on leaps and bounds, as our first aerial shots confirmed. By the start of July, the site was a completely different place from just a few months ago and as foundations begins on the building itself, the construction team are excited to see how the next stage develops.

Expect the Unexpected

With progress coming along quickly, we’re looking to the future and the finished project. Inside the glass area of the main club will be a sophisticated restaurant, featuring only the finest menus and an exclusive choice of signature cocktails. Visitors can lay 40 metres into the Atlantic Ocean on one of our stunning day beds, take a cooling dip in the pool, or take in the exquisite view from our two bars. Sitting above it all is our VIP floor, designed to tantalise all five senses in true luxury, with an additional Champagne and Sushi Bar. The Bikini Beach Events Calendar will bring high profile DJ’s, the very best local entertainment and parties that you’ll never forget. However you choose to experience Bikini Beach, you can expect the unexpected at Cape Verde’s first premium beach club.
