White Sands Hotel contracts signed with Grupo San Jose
The Resort Group has signed contracts this week with construction company Grupo San Jose, which sees White Sands Hotel & Spa move one step closer to construction starting on the development. The company, which has also been appointed to build the new University of Cape Verde campus in Praia, will commence construction shortly on our newest venture.
CEO of The Resort Group, Rob Jarrett, Andy Lawson, Managing Director of Resort Construction Services and Group Development and Construction Director for the Resort Group and Mike Deering, Project Director for Resort Construction Services and The Resort Group met with several members of the Grupo San Jose team including Director General, Nilton Ramos; International Director, Joaqium Morgado; M&E Coordinator, Rui Merencio and Director of Cape Verde, Joao Mateus, to mark this exciting development for the White Sands Hotel & Spa.
A groundbreaking ceremony took place in December 2015 with Rob Jarrett and Cape Verdean Prime Minister Jose Maria Neves laying the first stone. Boa Vista, where the hotel is to be built, is set for major touristic development as a part of a government scheme to improve the infrastructure and enhancing the existing features on the island. There are currently plans for six developments on Boa Vista, of which White Sands is the first.
The hotel complex itself will offer an exclusive experience including family and adult-only sections, a variety of luxurious restaurants and bars, poolside refreshments and a relaxing spa. If a day spent lounging in the sun is more to your taste, the hotel is set on the purest white sand beaches imaginable and boasts enviable views.
Investors interested in White Sands Hotel & Spa can purchase properties off-plan, with a full unit starting at €151,450. The Resort Group is guaranteeing an off-plan incentive of 7% per annum return during the hotel’s construction phase, meaning investors can start earning immediately.
