Celebs Go Dating filming in Cape Verde

With its romantic sunsets and beautiful beach walks, Cape Verde is ideal for a loved-up vacation so it’s no surprise that we recently welcomed the hopefuls from Celebs Go Dating to the shores of Sal Island. Seven celebrities, including MIC’s Ollie Locke and Sam Thompson, Gemma Collins from The Only Way is Essex, ‘Muggy’ Mike Thalassitis, singer Tallia Storm, presenter and comedian London Hughes and Olympian Jade Jones, arrived at our Resorts on Monday and have begun filming the dates on which they hope to find their perfect partner. They are joined by dating experts Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman, along with receptionist Tom Read Wilson, as they visit our restaurants and bars for their romantic rendezvous.

As an exotic destination, Cape Verde has already proven itself worthy of production value. Just last year, Britain’s Next Top Model aired the finale episodes, all of which were filmed on Sal Island whilst staying at our Resorts. The Boutiques and the luxurious Bikini Beach Club were featured heavily, demonstrating our hospitality capabilities, while the dedicated hotel staff catered for everything the busy production team might need.

This time is no different, with the cast and crew of Celebs Go Dating receiving the very best care while they stay in our 5-star accommodation, at both MELIÃ Dunas Beach Resort & Spa and MELIÃ Llana Beach Resort & Spa. From the Presidential Suite, in which Michelle Obama famously stayed, to duplex apartments with jaw-dropping views and spacious, opulent villas, we have pulled out all the stops to make sure the celebrities and experts are comfortable during their stay.

The group have also experienced the out-of-this-world service at Bikini Beach, heading to the club for a day of filming in the sun. With its VIP Bali Beds, private pool and sun-drenched terrace, it really is the perfect place to get stunning shots of the celebs soaking up the famously amazing Cape Verde weather. With a few more days of filming and dates yet to come, we can’t wait to see where they go next.

The fourth series of Celebs Go Dating will begin on E4 on February 4th, airing Sunday to Thursday every evening at 9pm. Watch out for the Cape Verde episodes on Wednesday 28th February and Thursday 29th February.
